Community education
Community education opportunities are available to increase awareness of autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), which can be achieved through community meetings, educational workshops, and distributing informational materials that highlight the importance of early intervention and the benefits of ABA in supporting individuals with autism. Collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and other professionals can further amplify these efforts, fostering understanding and acceptance.
1:1 ABA therapy
1:1 ABA therapy involves individualized instruction where a trained therapist works directly with your child, while under the supervision of a BCBA, to promote positive behavior change. This therapeutic approach utilizes data-driven techniques to tailor interventions to each child's unique needs and learning style.
social skills
Social skill opportunities focus on teaching your child the necessary skills to interact effectively with others, including appropriate social behaviors, communication techniques, and emotional understanding. This training often involves structured activities, role-playing, and reinforcement strategies to help clients generalize these skills in real-life situations.
“A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.”
School support
A therapist within the school setting is trained to work alongside your child and their teachers to provide support and interventions throughout their school day. Availability for school support may vary depending upon child’s school readiness, insurance requirements, and school regulations.
PARENT TRAINING
Parent training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is vital as it equips caregivers with the skills and knowledge necessary to reinforce positive behaviors in their child outside of therapy sessions. This involvement not only helps in generalizing skills but also fosters a collaborative environment that enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment. Parent trainings are offered in the clinic and/or home setting on an as-needed basis.
